About the Author:
After thirty years as an Army Infantry officer, with combat tours in Vietnam and senior positions in both the Secretary of the Army and Secretary of Defense staffs, Colonel Raymond K. Bluhm, Jr. retired in 1993. His final position was as a division chief with the Center of Military History. He lives in Fairfax, Virginia. Bluhm served as the editor and/or author on U.S. Army: A Complete History, The Army, and the spring 2008 title U.S. Army Infantry.
